David Beckham was chosen as the new face for Swiss watchmaker Breitling’s Transocean Chronograph Unitime Worldtime watch. The soccer hunk, a fan of the luxury brand, seemed to be very pleased as an ambassador of Breitling. “I’ve always been a long-time admirer of Breitling. As a company they create not only the highest-performance watches but also timeless designs that have inspired generations,” David Beckham shared his thought on the collaboration. “It was a natural choice for me to partner with this fantastic brand.” Photographed by renowned snapper Anthony Mandler at California’s Mojave Air and Space Port, the England legend wore his best blue steel look to promote the new Breitling timepiece. Father of four David Beckham was dressed in a black leather jacket and grey t-shirt with his hair combed back, posing alongside a private jet. The LA Galaxy star accessorized his ensemble with his Transocean Chronograph Unitime Worldtime watch equipped with a patented Manufacture Breitling Caliber BO5 technology to maintain ample power for up to 70 hours.

The newest fragrance of Becks contained notes of sparkling grapefruit, fresh violet leaves and lavender.

Cleveland kidnap victims Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were malnourished during their captivity

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight have been happily reuniting with their families and recovering from their multiple-year ordeal since they were rescued from alleged kidnapper and abuser Ariel Castro last week. The Cleveland kidnapping victims appeared to be malnourished when they were found at the Seymour Avenue home. All three women reportedly suffered severe trauma during their decade of captivity, with Michelle Knight having hearing loss and structural damage to her face. The eldest captive also said she had three miscarriages due to malnourishment. Meanwhile, Amanda Berry conceived and gave birth to her daughter Jocelyn in a small inflatable pool inside the house of horror. DNA tests confirmed on Friday (May 10, 2013) that Cleveland kidnap suspect Ariel Castro is the father of the 6-year-old girl discovered at his house with three women. According to police statements, Castro would use psychological games to "train" the girls by pretending to leave the house, but returning seconds later. He would punish them if he found his victims trying to free themselves. Now, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight are happy to be with their families and they are grateful for the support of their friends, law enforcement and their community. The young women also said through an attorney that they need time to heal, asking for privacy on Sunday (May 12, 2013).

Cleveland kidnapping victims Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were malnourished when they were found on May 6th 2013. They then released their first statements, saying they were happy to be home and pleaded for privacy to heal and reconnect with their families.

Kidnapping victim Michelle Knight suffered as many as three miscarriages because she was so malnourished. She told investigators that Ariel Castro impregnated her, starved her and pummeled her in the stomach until she miscarried.

Amanda Berry said that she and the other women were tied up with chains and tape at the home in Cleveland, Ohio. They were also kept in different rooms and possibly untied at different times.

Gina DeJesus was a friend and classmate of Arlene Castro, the daughter of Ariel Castro.

The 35-year-old actor was joined by his partner Simon Halls, with whom he shares three sons born via surrogate, including a set of twins. The couple were seen heading to a spa session together and both of them dressed casually for their day out, with Matt Bomer rocking a plaid shirt and a pair of sunglasses to hide a nasty scratch to the left of his left eye. Next day, the “White Collar” star and his publicist beau were also seen together at the 2013 American Fertility Association Illuminations event in Beverly Hills, California. The Texan native showed up at the show to help honor his friends Elton John and David Furnish as well as the NBC comedy “The New Normal,” which he guest starred on this season. Also attending the event were Brenda Strong, Craig Millian, Ryan Murphy and his partner David Miller.

Rocking a super smokey eye and sexy bed-head hair in the new photo shoot for the mag, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” teen showed off her slender legs and tiny waist in a series of pictures by photographer John Russo. Kendall Jenner, who is currently working closely with Victoria's Secret snapper Russell James, modeled an array of designer ensembles including a striped Marc Jacobs maxi dress and a Roberto Cavalli blazer. The brunette beauty also sported a dramatic halter-neck black Gucci gown teamed with a wide-brimmed floppy hat or an edgy strapless Calvin Klein frock cinched at the waist to accentuate her tiny middle. After striking a few poses for John Russo, Kendall Jenner had an interview with the mag, in which she dished about everything from her tiny frame to breaking out of her introverted shell. The 17-year-old model admitted that modelling has helped her overcome her shyness. “It’s true, I used to be so shy. I used to never talk, just sit back and do my thing,” Kendall said. “I am still pretty shy but I’ve gotten much better because I’m always on set for photo shoots and I’m always filming with my family.”

She accessorized her ensemble with a gold bracelet and kept her blonde hair styled in natural waves to complete her appearance. In another shoot, the French-speaking model was clad in a pink dress, looking effortless chic with her blonde locks, soft features and green eyes. Justine Legault also had an interview with the magazine, in which she shared that she was discovered by chance at the age of 20 by an agency looking for a plus-size girl. A host of celebrities gathered at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City to attend the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala on Wednesday (May 1). This year’s festivities, which drew names like Katy Perry, Coco Rocha, Georgia May Jagger and Lindsey Vonn, were hosted by Nate Berkus and DKMS founder Katharina Harf. Not only did the event feature two stirring performances by Jill Scott and Lady Antebellum, but it also honored three women with the Delete Blood Cancer Award, including fashion designer Vera Wang, actress Leighton Meester and OPI artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. Besides, the red carpet of the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala was full of colours and all kinds of style-obsessed types. From Katy Perry to Coco Rocha and Julie Henderson, it looked like that the beautiful women tried to stand out among the fashion pack and shined at the black-tie affair. Katy Perry arrived at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala in a blue baroque print fishtail frock by Vera Wang that was perfectly fitted to her every curve. The pop star teamed her dress with Jimmy Choo heels and accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch. She wore Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and kept her raven hair back with a side fringe to finish off her look.

Georgia May Jagger opted for a svelte black Just Cavalli shift with peek-a-boo lace detailing to the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala. The sleeveless dress featured a lace panel at the bottom of it, showing off her slim thighs and long legs. The daughter of rock star Mick jagger and model Jerry Hall combined her number with a pair of strappy heels, wearing her long blonde hair down with a slightly messy unbrushed look.

Delete Blood Cancer co-founder Katharina Harf dazzled on the red carpet in a scarlet strapless gown by Derek Lam at the event.

Coco Rocha went prim, tailored and cool but also more than a little weird. The 24-year-old supermodel looked awesome in dark skinny trousers and a dark shirt embellished jacket.

Julie Henderson chose a tangerine orange one-shoulder-dress for her bright and bold red carpet look at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala.

Model Anja Rubik looked very fashionable in a tux inspired bow-front dress that ended dramatically with a long train at the back. The ensemble was from Hedi Slimane's debut Saint Laurent collection.

The Cannes Film Festival, one of the most glamorous events in the showbiz calendar, officially kicked off with the opening ceremony and the screening of “The Great Gatsby” on Wednesday night (May 15, 2013). Despite the wind and rain, a slew of A List stars and seasoned models, who arrived at Cannes for a week and a half of screenings of Hollywood's top movies, appeared in good spirits and greeted the crowds on the sodden red carpet. They all didn’t seem to mind the pouring weather, still keeping their smiles on their faces even when the rain was pouring down more and more. While the Cannes Film Festival is all about films, it is one of the best times of the year, especially for any fashion addict because we can see our favourite stars in their glamorous dresses, gowns and ensembles.

Let’s check out the best dresses at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony.

Nicole Kidman was not bothered by the storms that soaked the Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet on Wednesday (May 15, 2013). The 45-year-old actress still stood out in her floral gown by Dior, matching her dress with pink patent shoes. She styled her hair in a quiff while posing with director and Jury president Steven Spielberg.

Lana Del Rey posed on the red carpet at the Opening Ceremony and “The Great Gatsby” Premiere during the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival at the Theatre Lumiere on Wednesday evening (May 15, 2013). The 26-year-old entertainer went for a vintage look at the celebrity-studded affair in a floorlength black and white gown. She looked stunning with the embroidered detailing while the train of the number dragged behind her. Miss Del Rey wore her dark locks in deep curls waving around her face and finished off her look with emerald earrings by Chopard.

Georgia May Jagger wore a Roberto Cavalli gown to the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony. The vibrant red number with a plunging neckline, cut-outs and embellished trims showed off her curves and slender physique while the wavy locks tumbling down her shoulders and the perfect red-hot pout completed her appearance.

Cindy Crawford looked like a timeless beauty, defying the laws of aging in a tight Roberto Cavalli dress. Her white gown with a gathered waist and plunging gold halter neckline helped the 47-year-old supermodel not only ooze sex appeal but also expose her tone arms and ample cleavage. Ms. Crawford let her auburn hair fall on her shoulders while her light makeup accentuated her deep brown eyes and glistening lips.

Fan Bingbing was dressed in a custom Louis Vuitton gown while she posed for pics on the red carpet at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Her duchess satin strapless gown with a grey and red sequined bodice, which was created especially for the Asian actress by the French fashion house, was styled with a minaudière and Chopard jewels.

Freida Pinto looked pretty beautiful in a pink Gucci dress. The Indian actress donned her custom silk chiffon halter gown that was cinched at the waist with a majorly embellished belt. She paired it with complementary open-toe shoes, also by Gucci, and selected Chopard earrings to add more gold to her look. Miss Pinto had her dark brown locks threaded into plaits and pulled away and up of her face to complete the appearance.

David Beckham retires: British soccer legend’s life in pictures

Former England captain David Beckham has announced his impending retirement from professional football at the age of 38 on Thursday (May 16, 2013). The midfielder decided to finish his career on a high after winning the French title with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for the first time in 19 years. He is turning down the offer of an extended one-year deal at PSG, having just two games left for the club before bowing out. His last game of football will be on the synthetic pitch at Lorient's 18,110-capacity Stade du Moustoir, with the last home match of his career against Brest at Parc des Princes this Saturday. "I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue, but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level," David Beckham said. "If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100 times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy."

David Beckham announced his retirement at the end of the current season on Thursday (May 16, 2013) after helping Carlo Ancelotti's PSG win the French title for the first time in 19 years.

The retirement brought to an end a glittering career of David Beckham, who is now set to continue his ambassadorial duties with a variety of organisations, including Unicef, Sky Sports, Adidas and promoting football in China. The English footballer began his career with Manchester United, scoring 85 goals in 394 games and winning the Champions League in 1999 with the team. He then played for Real Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy, winning league titles with all those clubs. Beckham also played on loan with AC Milan and made 115 appearances for his country, a record in England for someone other than a goalkeeper.

David Beckham won the Champions League with Manchester United in 1999. The football star also won the Premier League and FA Cup with the club in the same year.

Beckham was the only British footballer in history to celebrate as a champion in four different countries.

The former Manchester United player, who won over 100 caps for his England and lifted 19 trophies in two different continents during his career, happily took a photo with his wife and sons.

David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham, who have four children together including three sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper, attended the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game at Staples Center at the Staples Center.

Gerard Pique and Alex Song fight during Barcelona’s victory parade (pictures)

Cameroon international Alex Song and ex-Manchester United defender Gerard Piqué seemed to have a fight on a double-decker bus as they paraded the La Liga title on Monday afternoon (May 13, 2013). The Barcelona stars were seen scrapping on top of the bus while driving through the Catalan city to celebrate their triumph with supporters lining the streets. The two appeared to be larking about at first, but looked to be seriously quarrelling atop the coach later. Alex Song grabbed Gerard Piqué's arm and cocked his clenched fist as if readying himself to throw a punch. The former Arsenal midfielder, who has endured a turbulent season at the club since joining from the Gunners last summer, even landed a heavy slap on his teammate during the parade. Club captain Carles Puyol and goalkeeper Victor Valdes were forced to intervene and separate them in the unhappy incident, but appeared to be having a heated discussion of their own in the background as well after their teammates grappled in front of celebrating supporters.

The former Arsenal man and Shakira’s husband were caught brawling on the bus during the parade, which was to honour Barca reclaiming their La Liga crown from Real Madrid after mounting a 10-point lead with three games to play.

Barcelona’s captain Carles Puyol and goalkeeper Victor Valdes seemed to play peacemakers in the end as they were forced to step in and separate their teammates Song and Piqué.

Alex Song and Gerard Piqué’s scuffle went unnoticed on Monday afternoon, but politicians in Catalonia complained that drinking on the bus was setting a bad example to young fans who watched their title-winners parade the trophy.
