Hedy Lamarr, Hollywood sex symbol and most beautiful woman in the world, is brain behind spread-spectrum radio technology – the precursor of modern wireless communications. Hedy Lamarr is best – known as a gorgeous and seductive screen siren of the 1930s and ’40s with leading role in a Czech movie called "Ecstasy” in 1933's. Lamarr's greatest long-term contribution to society was equally as an actress and an inventor.

Born in Vienna in 1914, Hedy Lamarr went to the famous acting school in Berlin during her late teens. The talented actress got married to the first of six husbands Friedrich Mandl who was specialized in shells and grenades and also manufactured military aircraft. The beautiful actress learnt a lot from the first husband as later she and her co-inventer George Antheil made the torpedo guidance system from being jammed by using frequency hopping two decades before its time.
