Ten Suggestions That You Can Try In Personal Development After Your Divorce

Do you feel unhappy because you are unfulfilled? Do you feel like you should be doing a lot more? Did your divorce leave you feeling lost? There are solutions for that. You need to focus on ways to develop your potential. This article describes 10 approaches that you can follow in becoming the person that you want to be.

Before you do anything else, it is important that you decide on what you want out of life. What are your priorities? What things are important to you? Be truthful and honest with yourself when you answer those questions. Your answers will determine what course in life you are going to take. So, think carefully about what you want so that you will head in the right direction.

When you know what you want out of life, you are ready to set some goals. These goals should be attainable and realistic. Write down these goals and revisit them regularly so that you will have a point of reference when you are making decisions on what to do. Keeping your eyes on your goals will keep you on the right track. When you see yourself deviating from your goals, change directions.

Nothing affects personal development more than negative thinking about yourself. It is detrimental for your self-confidence, and it can get you down. Losing confidence can tempt you to stop working toward your goals. Do not fall into that trap. When you feel negative about yourself, immediately think of something that you are good at, and pay yourself a compliment. Keep emphasizing on your strengths to turn your negative feelings into positive ones. This is a way to keep you moving toward your development goals.

Create a phrase, or mantra, that exemplifies the goals in your life. This mantra should contain words that are motivating and full of hope. It should be something that you take to heart in your journey to better yourself. When you encounter obstacles, your mantra will remind yourself what your purpose is and why you must continue.

A lot of helpful information about personal development can be learned from books. Many books have been published by experts and life coaches in the field. These books can provide tools, strategies and encouragement as you embark on your personal journey. A self-help book can give you ideas that you have never thought of. These are wonderful resources for you to keep on hand.

You should spend some time thinking about the people that are in your life. Make a first list of the people who support you and are important to you, and a second list of people who do not contribute much to the quality of your life. You should cultivate your relationships of the people on your first list because they are people who are meaningful to you. If there are people in your life who are naysayers, who can impede upon your personal goals, avoid spending time with them. You want to surround yourself with people who mean something to your life to make your life richer.

Make a list of your habits that are undesirable. This is not a way to make you feel bad about yourself. On the contrary, this list will be a useful tool in helping you focus on areas that need improvement. If you can work on kicking one bad habit every month, you would make great personal improvements by the end of the year. Imagine how good you will feel as you check off each bad habit that you have beaten.

Sometimes you need guidance in moving toward your goals. This is where a mentor can be helpful. Find someone whom you respect and whose qualities you admire. This person can help you sort out your goals, point you in the right direction and give you encouragement every step of the way.

Do not be afraid to try something new. The more new experiences you get, the more well-rounded you become. Do not worry about failing because this is all part of learning. Only by trying something new can you expand your horizons and discover your potentials.

Record your progress in a journal. This is a good way to keep track of your accomplishments and successes. It is also a good way to keep track of things that did not work out because you can then learn from your mistakes. At times when you feel like you are not making much progress, look back on your journal. You will be amazed at how far you have come from the beginning, and this can motivate you to keep going.

You do not have to remain the way you are. There are a number of ways to make your situation better. You have the potential to become the person that you want to be, and you just have to believe in yourself. This article includes suggestions that will help you start on your personal journey, but it is up to you to complete your journey.

A Way To Defeat Nervous About The Unknown For Greater Self Improvement

Author: harrytan
Personal development is an ongoing process of making yourself into the best person you can be. It is reaching inside and pulling out your inner potential. To start the hard work towards your goals, find some advice to keep energized. The following article has many ideas that you can implement now.

The first step in changing is making a decision to change. Growth and improvement do not happen until you willingly embrace these changes.

Instead of bragging about achievements, you should ask others about theirs. This helps you discover what other people have accomplished to help you respect them which in turn betters your character.

Thinking about growing and changing will only take you so far; in order to achieve your goals, you need to actively implement the changes. If you want to change and grow, accept it, and do it.

A great suggestion to enhance your personal development is to make certain that value is placed on those things you think of as being the best. Make reaching your goals one of the most important aspects of your life.

Don't waste your energy on the small things. You will have much more inner peace if you just choose to focus on things that matter to you.

In order to grow as a person, you must accept change and learn how to thrive with it. When we consciously choose to change, it is easier to do so.

Direct your personal development efforts toward the values that are important to you. You will surely find inner peace by focusing your thoughts on things that are important as opposed to those that don't matter at all.

If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to take care of others. No matter what point you are in on your journey, you should always take time to breathe.

Unless you are willing to work towards your personal goals, you will never be able to grow as a person. You can only change and grow when you openly welcome the changes and choose to evolve.

Establish your priorities, and then focus on them wholeheartedly. When it comes to focusing your feelings and emotions, strive to apply them to the important aspects of your life that build happiness, and do not waste them on the negative aspects that weigh you down and prevent inner peace.

Nobody is perfect, and most of us make the occasional dietary error. Stress can harm your body, and life is too short to worry about every little thing.

You need to decide what type of lifestyle would suit you best, then you can set goals that can realistically be attained. If you find what your weaknesses are, you can work to eliminate them and become a better person.

Do not over do it physically when trying to attain a goal. While you should always give it your all, understand when you have reached your limit. You have to keep your body in mind when you are trying to accomplish something. Your personal development will suffer greatly if you sacrifice your health.

One good tip when you are looking into personal development opportunities is to respect your body. If you feel thirsty, hungry, etc., you need to correct that issue right away. Make sure to give you body the vitamins and nutrients it needs to provide you with a sufficient amount of energy. Ignoring your body's signals will only hurt you in the long run.

Try new challenges. This can create new possibilities in your life. Additionally, you will understand your limits and improve your abilities. Another benefit of challenging yourself is the ability to maximize your level of accomplishment. Rather than following in other people's footsteps, try doing your own thing and forging your own path.

Know the obstacles you face before you hit them. This has proven to be an obstacle for a large number of people. However, identifying what our weaknesses are is one of the first things you have do in order to address and change it. By removing just a few obstacles in your way, you will discover that your future is much more clear.

Improve your life by taking on the habits that have brought success to others. Begin by identifying a few basic behaviors, then focus on making the necessary improvements one step at a time until they become fully integrated into your daily life. You should keep it up for at least 21 days to make it a habit.

It is possible to learn how to cope in a crisis without letting your emotions take full control. If you can learn how to stay cool during high-stress situations, you are likely to gain the confidence that you need to conquer just about anything in your daily life. Take the time to relax and take some deep breaths.

Be on the lookout for new ways to challenge yourself. New challenges open new possibilities for you. It is possible to gain new abilities and new perspectives. You might even make yourself a role model for others. Try to think of innovative accomplishments, rather than following in everyone else's tracks.

It is our sincere hope that the information we offer here will be helpful to you and those you love. Applying the advice from this article can really have a positive outcome for your future as long as you are determined to make the changes. It may take a real effort to do this, but putting these tips to work will be very worthwhile.

The Self Belief You Need For Life

Author: mgriffiths
Self-belief, or the confidence in your own abilities and judgment is essential to every person. Even if we are given many talents, if we lack confidence in our abilities, all these talents become useless.

Imagine trying to come in for a job interview, completely devoid of any belief in your abilities. Do you think you will be hired? Or even in school - you know the answer to a question, but doubts enter your mind, and feelings of insecurity engulf you…it is doubtful that you'll muster up the courage to raise your hand to state your answer.

In life, every little thing we do lies in our ability to believe that we will succeed. But realistically, all of us go through a period of self-doubt - when we think we do not deserve to be happy…when we think other people are better than us… and when we feel scared to fail. But there are a few tips to help develop self-belief.

YOU CAN LEARN TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. If you think you cannot do something, assess your personal capabilities. You may be pleasantly surprised to discover that you are far more talented than most people. You are more intelligent and street-wise. You have a better grasp of reality, since you're not perched too high up on a pedestal. You can change your belief in yourself - improve or tweak it, learn the good, and unlearn the bad. As you go through life, you set out into the journey of self-discovery.

STOP LISTENING TO THAT EVIL TWIN. Now that you're old enough, you know that you have the ability to tune out that negative voice whispering into your ear that "you're no good." Your ultimate downfall is your disbelief in your abilities. No person plunging into murky waters will ever survive if he/she does not learn to fight off his insecurities.

TURN YOUR WEAKNESSES INTO STRENGTHS. Remember this, because it will guide you into reality - No person is perfect. Everyone has weaknesses. But also keep in mind that no person is completely devoid of strengths. Knowing what your weaknesses are is the first step. Next, focus on the improvement of these weaknesses such that they are converted into strengths - this is the true gauge of a human's ability to turn adversities into success. This part of being human.

DEVELOP YOUR STRENGTHS EVEN MORE. Make a list, and believe that you can develop them so that no one else is as good as you are. A lot of people are not really very talented, but they have tons of self-confidence, thus tricking others into thinking that they are able to do better than anyone else. Do the same.

IF YOU'RE TOO EMBARASSED TO SEEK ONE, THEN BE YOUR OWN MOTIVATIONAL COACH. Every time you feel doubts forming in your head, jolt your own self into reality. There's something really great about being your own "coach" - no other being will discover that you have doubts. Why must the world know about your insecurities? Let others believe that you ooze with self confidence!

DEVELOP A BRAND NEW CONCEPT OF "YOU." This is the "you" minus all the initial doubts, weaknesses and insecurities. Create the new you - an uber-confident, self-sufficient and successful individual. You will find that this final step is your ultimate step to the top.

Self Improvement Tips And Techniques To Get A More Completing Lifetime Journey

Author: harrytan
A great way to better your lifestyle, is to improve your self through personal development. Read this article to discover what kind of actions you should be taking, and what kind of attitude you should have towards life to be happier.

Take the time to change the focus of your conversation from your own accomplishments and awards to the achievements of those around you. People will appreciate your company more, and you will find new common points of interests between you and your friends.

The people in your life should have similar interests. This will help you to maintain a positive focus in your own life.

Instead of endlessly gloating about your own achievements, why not ask another person to share a story of personal victory? People will appreciate your company more, and you will find new common points of interests between you and your friends.

Do not boast about your accomplishments. Talk to people and find out more about their own achievements. This gives you an opportunity to find out the talents and achievements of the people around you, and it might help you gain more respect for others as you learn more about their character.

Everyone screws up sometime and does something they should not. Stress hurts your body as much as a large slice of high calorie pie, so take it all in stride.

One way to improve yourself is to discover and emphasize your strengths, while minimizing your weaknesses. Determine what is important to you. You should try your hardest to prioritize what you consider important.

It is normal to find unhealthy foods tempting. Don't obsess over the minor details of life all the time as stress is no better for you than a piece of chocolate is.

Knowing what you can get out of your life is a major key to your personal development. Long-term goals are a tremendous thing to have and can make a big difference in your perspective.

Since nobody's perfect, you're going to fall off your diet plan sometimes and eat junk food instead of a healthy meal. Stress can be just as detrimental to your health as a sugary meal, so keep that fact in mind, and try to relax.

You have to provide care for yourself before you can properly care for other people. Wherever you are mentally and emotionally, always take time to relax and check in with your needs.

Even if you feel the need to change and grow, you will not do so until you choose to. You have to determine exactly what you want and consciously decide to work toward it.

Set realistic goals that you can accomplish, and you'll enjoy life so much more. Figuring out your weaknesses and doing what you can to deal with them will make you a happier, more satisfied person.

Your library and bookstore probably have an entire section devoted to self-help. Take the time to read a few books to find new ideas and tips you had not thought of. Pick out a book that has gotten good reviews because there are some books about personal development that are not written very well.

Learning to take controlled risks could bring you happiness. People often resign themselves to life within their comfort zones. This can cause them to miss out on valuable opportunities! It takes bravery to take risks, and bravery can be vital in building yourself the kind of life you really want.

Read about how your heroes became successful. You can avoid both personal and business mistakes by knowing the trials that others have faced. It is always beneficial to hear the stories about roads traveled by other individuals, especially very successful individuals.

Accept your limitations before engaging in personal development. When you acknowledge the insignificance of your being in comparison to the size of the universe, you will begin to realize the shortcomings of your knowledge. You can then focus your attention on positive growth and development.

It is important that you feel comfortable using the abilities that you have. Everyone has unique individual skills which is what makes our planet diverse. Don't waste time on what you are not good at, but rather keep your focus on the skills you have and use them wisely.

Living a healthy lifestyle is a critical part of your personal development. Having a healthy lifestyle is about watching your diet, working out and staying motivated to keep doing them both. If you make your health the priority, you will likely feel your best, which makes contributing to the different aspects of life easier.

A leader is someone who is not only powerful and demanding, they also tend to be modest. A leader guides people in the right direction but understands how to serve their employee's needs. Leaders must have integrity and virtues if they want to be successful.

Now you have been given an opportunity to consider several ways to change your negative thinking habits, and work on any character flaws preventing you from living your life to it's fullest potential. Apply these tips and adapt them to your unique situation to live a happier life.

Goal Getting Is Easier Than You Think!

Author: Marsha Egan
We're rushing headlong towards 2012, and we're approaching that time of year again when people start thinking about making resolutions. We make these with great intentions, but it often isn't long before many resolutions fall by the wayside - think of all that unused and unloved gym equipment people buy and then soon stop using!

Here are a few tips and suggestions to help you accomplish great things in the coming year:

1) Think big: I'm not talking about setting unrealistic goals for yourself, but challenge yourself to some stretch goals. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve when you just set your mind to it and challenge yourself. To help you do this, create your goals, then take another look at them and ask yourself, "am I stretching enough?"

2) Create S.M.A.R.T. goals: While most people know the SMART acronym, they often don't use it when they set their goals! SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. When goals are SMART, they help you get better results. An example of a SMART goal is: "I will lose 5 pounds by March 1." A not-so-SMART goal might be: "I need to lose some weight." By having SMART goals, we create targets, which motivate us and give us energy to use to reach the goals.

3) Get Writing! You might think this sounds silly, but it's really important. Written goals are much more likely to be achieved than unwritten goals. I like to suggest to my coaching clients that they keep their goals present, which is to say keep them visible, in your planner, or even in year PDA. You can't do this unless you write them down!

4) Give your resolutions some planning time: Rather than scribbling something on the back of a bus ticket at the last minute on December 31st, set some time aside to prepare your plans. By spending time focusing on what you want to achieve in the coming year, you will give yourself the space and the focus to help you set goals that will energize you. Many people set resolutions without much thought - focus on what you really want for your life.

5) Share your goals: No-one knows the psychology of why this happens, but it does. The fact is that people are more likely to achieve their goal when they have shared it with others than when they keep it to themselves. By involving others in your dreams, it not only provides great motivation, but may even give them the impetus to help you move towards your goal.

6) Ask for help: Like sharing your goals, asking for help can help you enjoy even greater success. A lot of people worry that they are imposing on people when they ask for help but, in most cases, the reverse is true. People feel complimented when they are asked to help, and you might be surprised at how willing people are to help you achieve your goals when you ask them to.

7) Review your goals regularly: Coming up with goals, filing them away, and finding them a year later having got no further towards achieving tem is frustrating, and a waste of your time. I like to recommend to my clients that they review their goals weekly. Try reviewing your goals as you are establishing your daily or weekly plans - it's really effective, as it keeps you aware of your own plans, instead of effectively just reacting to everyone else's to-do lists. By starting your day or week with a review of your personal and professional goals followed by planning your time, you can engrain the goal orientation that will encourage you to reach your goals.

8) Celebrate to 'little victories': Some goals are complex and long-term, and have many component parts. If you make a habit of rewarding yourself (even if just with a little pat yourself on the back) as you reach the smaller milestones, you can help energize yourself towards achieving your final goal. Too many people 'run out of gas' and never get to where they want to go. By working towards interim milestones, you have a better chance of keeping your motivation, keeping the ultimate goal present, and feeling a sense of achievement as you go.

The hardest thing about setting goals is often just simply "getting down to business!" It's often too easy to push aside the task which is important but not urgent. The New Year is a great time to reflect on the old and prepare for the new, so why not make an appointment with yourself today to create the goals that will see you achieve your dreams in 2012.

Time Management Tips - Protect Your Priorities With Effective Boundaries In Calm And Chaotic Times

Time management tips can almost tempt you to believe you can always plan your time in advance. But, as you know all too well, you might be confronted with any number of new demands at any time. Furthermore, you need to contend with a steady stream of distractions, both on and offline. All the more reason to safeguard your time with strong boundaries.

It is helpful to identify when you set boundaries, and how. Some people naturally establish a schedule in advance, but cave in to last-minute appeals. Others may ad lib their way through the day, yet speak up assertively to stay on track.

Is one better than the other? Not really. Your productivity and peace of mind will dramatically increase as you learn to establish boundaries in both calm and chaotic times. These abilities serve different functions, and their benefits create an upward spiral of positive reinforcement.

Boundaries in Chaotic Times

Establishing and maintaining your time boundaries is a challenge anytime. When you are under pressure, it is harder still. In stressful times, set time boundaries to maintain your energy, to find the space to breathe, and to reflect. The more you protect your plans from low-priority distractions, the more confidence you gain. Over time, you will find it easier to be assertive. Your reward will be heightened productivity as you manage whatever is on your plate.

Boundaries in Calm Times

And yet, during times of calm, time boundaries are equally important. It's during these periods that the boundaries you establish, and the time choices you make, are proactively shaping your quality of life and helping you to embody your values, moment to moment.

By exploring boundaries in calm times, you build proactive strengths. This is the ideal time to create a hierarchy of priorities. In addition, give yourself time to reflect on your assertiveness skills. The less pressure you and others are under when navigating boundaries, the easier it is to negotiate. You may well discover over time that by raising issues early on, everyone suffers less from frayed nerves and mutual recriminations.

All successful boundaries create courage.

When you genuinely appreciate the full power of your time choices, you build grit. Why? You fully comprehend just how much responsibility for your life you carry in your own two hands.

As you assume that level of ownership, you generate deeper commitments, and life becomes infinitely more meaningful! You relinquish old resentments. Your moment-to-moment choices harmonize more fully with your values. This brings your essential focus to here, now. "Here" is where you will always live. "Now" is where all your power resides.

So think through your typical day, and envision where the logjams occur. Imagine yourself navigating the hurdles, and see how boundaries help you. Visualize both chaotic and calm settings to learn how you relate in both circumstances. Then use any and all opportunities to establish boundaries to withstand distractions. What do you learn?

You are defined by the choices you make over time. You are, on some level, your choices. Therefore, think of the boundaries you set as building blocks to create a more distinct self. That is a gift that will enrich your life all the time.

So how can you use boundaries to make the most of your time?

Three Key Lessons From The Ants Philosophy

I called myself to order, the first time I became aware of the attitude and behavior of ants. This lesson is still fresh in my mind and has contributed to the immense personal transformation I have gone through.

As I share this philosophy and the three core principles I learned from it, it is my belief that you will get inspired by them.

There is no speculation about whether ants work hard, they really do. In fact in my little village in Africa, people who work extremely hard or carry heavy loads used to be asked if they are ants. Over time, I have discovered that to be really successful, we need to apply the three lessons I learned from the ant.

Lesson 1: Ants Are Self-Motivated

Self-motivation is the fuel of life that gets you up from bed and keeps you moving even in the face of despair. Motivation comes according to each individual's preference and desire. Different factors motivate different people and there some that keep us awake at night.

Some people are motivated by fear, fear of the future. I should believe that this is the factor that motivates ants most. Ants are afraid of the winter (or rainy season as is the case in most African countries that don't experience winter). They work extremely hard to gather enough food they will eat at winter during summer or dry seasons. Ants are wise; they understand the times of the season and knew also that life could get worse if they don't work hard at winter to secure their future with enough food before winter falls.

What is the factor that creates the fear that motivates you? What is that area of your personal life that gets you thinking of improvement because you don't like the way things are around it today? What area of your life are you particularly not happy with and you want to make a change in 1 year or three years time? Assuming your career is going great, how long do you want to remain in someone else's payroll? Let me ask you; what will happen to you if things remain the way they are in three years?

I presume these are some of the questions that Mother-Ant asks her children that put them all out on the road of hard work during winter. And here's the thing... They take a long break of enjoyment at winter. This is lesson number 1; if you want to take a long break or vacation when others are worrying about life, get yourself motivated in one area of your life you want to transform.

Lesson 2: Ants Don't Quit

If you have never observed the ruggedness of ants before, make it a point of duty to look out for them in mid-summer say, July or August. You will be amazed by the heavy loads they carry. They are never intimidated by size or weight; they have very rugged determination to accomplish anything they set themselves up to achieve. If the weight is too heavy that they couldn't lift, they'll roll it on the ground until they get home with it.

Ants are notable for finding alternative ways of achieving their goals successfully. If ants are on a journey in one direction and something tries to stop them, they look for another way of getting through immediately. They may climb over or under something until they find another way out.

What is your approach to life when you meet an obstacle on the way of your breakthrough? Do you complain, blame and quit instead of looking for alternative ways of accomplishing your goals? The ants hold themselves accountable for their success and they never throw in the towel. Lesson number 2. Don't Quite! The moment you start working on your goal, keep going until you accomplish it. When you run into obstacles, don't just quit. Look for a way to overcome them.

Lesson 3: Ants Work In Team

One of the greatest supports you need to accelerate your breakthrough in any area of life is to surround yourself with phenomenal people.

It's hard to see an ant working in isolation of other ants except perhaps when the goal is such an easy one to accomplish. Ants believe in the power of unity because they know that they could achieve more, faster when they work together.

What goals are you working on at the moment? Who are you sharing your ideas, your passions and motivations with? Do you have a Coach or mentor that is holding you accountable for your actions and results; or are you keeping everything secret to yourself?

I read the story of a young man who discovered a market for baby toys in China. This particular baby toy can be bought for $2 in China and sold for $9.95 at supermarkets in his country. The young man was excited and kept the information secret. He borrowed money from his friends and gathered his lifetime savings and bought hundreds of thousands of this product. Then he went to the managers of the supermarkets to negotiate a sale, and the managers told him that they bought the same products from the same people he bought at the rate of $1.50 a piece. Of course he made a huge loss.

Who is your coach or mentor? Who are you learning from and who is holding you accountable for your actions and results? Every successful individual has a coach that helps them to clarify their objectives and make them more compelling, and more achievable. Lesson number 3; don't keep your ideas secret, get a Coach and accelerate your progress faster than you could.

You can determine today to change your situation and achieve extra-ordinary results in the area of life that is most important to you faster if you Work With a Coach. You can get support to clarify your highest priorities, set new goals and live your dreams at Cognition Global Concepts.

Overcoming The Challenges of Communication

Author: Arvana Robinson

Over the past year, I have had more struggles in the way I relate to my friends than I can ever remember having. Because of this, I have been closely inspecting the way I interact with others. What is my definition of friendship? I quit my job by suddenly walking out when my employer, who I considered my friend, and I continued to have opposing viewpoints. I was fired by another friend shortly after. I have lost these friendships and a lifestyle that I have grown accustomed to for nearly twenty years, as a result. On my personal side, I've struggled with the relationship of one of my sisters, and another woman whom I considered one of my closest friends. Almost a year in time lapsed before we cooled down enough to communicate again. Consequently, both the relationship with my sister and with my girlfriend have become stronger.

On top of all this, there were two older men, one being a decade older than me, the other two decades older, both in my spiritual community, that wanted to date me. I had been very honest with both of them and told them I wasn't feeling the same for them and that I just wanted to be friends. I thought this was understood, but apparently they didn't understand my words or take me seriously. Needless to say, one of these friendships has been ruined and I have no mournful feelings about that loss because he began getting mean, say very inappropriate things to me and scared me. When I get scared, I get mad. My friendship with the other gentleman is on very rocky grounds now. I'm feeling sad about the possible loss of his friendship because I really care about him as a friend and as my peer.

I am the common denominator in all of these relationships so I have been thinking that it is something I need to take a look at. I take full responsibility for quitting my job without notice and getting fired from the other one even though there were extenuating circumstances that were completely out of my hands. I have tried to repair the friendships lost from these work situations. Some tell me they have no hard feelings but I feel a huge distance between us nonetheless and I am saddened by their absence in my daily life. There are others that have made it very clear to me that they are not willing to befriend me again and have severed contact with me no matter how hard I try. This is much more difficult to deal with. I'm uncomfortable when people don't like. In my personal life, I let my anger come between my sister and I. With my friend whom I didn't speak with for a year, I share the blame. Oddly, I have gotten along better with my family than I ever have before.

The lesson I am learning from this is that everything is impermanent. Everything changes whether we want it to or not. Just like the ebb and flow of the tides in life, some friendships aren't meant to last. Some people share our path for a short time while others remain with us for years and years. I cannot be attached to what was, or feel responsible for how people react. I have never claimed to be perfect, nor the best communicator. I am trying to speak my truth more clearly and remain strong when others try to use their words to hurt me or to project their feelings on me. Self doubt will come up but I have to remember that we are all just doing the best we can. We are all at different levels in our awareness and some people are more conscious than others. I must continue to be myself and try to silently send those people love, like the Buddhist Metta contemplation. (Please read the article I wrote titled "Cultivating Friendliness" to find out more about the Metta Meditation.)
As long as we are true to ourselves and speak the truth to others what more can we do? I am not one to yell when I am angry. My whole nervous system gets very rattled when others yell at me and I have tried to avoid confrontation as best I can. Yet the more I try to avoid it, the more conflict seems to come my way. This reminds me of the yogic teaching of attachment and aversion, raga and dvesha, respectively.

We are attached to what feels good and we avoid what doesn't. It makes perfect sense. Yet when something keeps repeating itself in a negative manner, we must really self reflect and search for the answers that lie hidden within us. Self depreciation is not the answer. Not all of these failed relations are fault of my own. Like I said earlier, I take responsibility for my part in them. Of course, the more we push something away, the more it plays out. These episodes keep getting more intense until we are willing to take an honest look into the root cause of negative relations. Once we become brutally honest with ourselves, we may not like what we see. This is why I think we bury our feelings inside, ignore them or simply walk away without resolving the issue. My tendency is to walk away. I find it hard to talk things out when they get heated and angry. I'm flight not fight.

But how can we grow and become better human beings if we continue to run from confrontation or face it in anger? We must learn to deal with stress and control our feelings of fight or flight which are directly related to the sympathetic nervous system. When our nervous system is in this state, we are reacting to stress and preparing for danger. Yet we become unable to grow and repair. As we learn to remain calm, we become better equipped to deal with tension, aggression and anger. The practice of yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) are tools we can use to remain calm and steady in the face of challenge. However, we are humans with emotions and not robots. We are living, breathing, feeling creatures. We must learn to treat each other with more sensitivity and kindness and be willing to talk to each other because everyone has a different perspective.

I am thankful for all these life experiences because they invite me to be honest, sensitive and calm which teaches me to grow into a better human being. After all, life is given to us to awaken from our dream.

Developing Leaders For The Twenty First Century And Beyond

Author: Reed Markham

John Gardner, a leadership expert raised the following question: Where are today's leaders? It's 2012 and America has a population today of over 300 million people. America should be producing more leaders. I believe Boy Scouts of America scouting program is the source for producing America's future great leaders. I would like to offer three strategies for developing our future leaders.

First, recognize that we are losing too many of our boys.

The number of boys who drop out of school is dramatic. The number of young boys who later go on to college is shrinking fast. And the workplace is facing a phenomena called the missing male. Many young boys are more attracted to gangs, pornography and violent video games. To reverse these trends, scout leaders need to be creative, innovative and audience centered in their search for resources to improve the quality of their programs.

Second, develop a strategic plan that includes specific goals for each scout.
Taking time to plan is taking time to succeed. A few years aog I visited a cub scout den in Albany, Georgia. The scout leader was a busy doctor. Although this doctor was busy it was obvious he spent many hours on his laptop computer to develop a strategic plan. The leader had a spreadsheet that detailed progress toward badges for each scout.

Third, update your activities and resources.

To inspire and motivate today's scouts requires the latest information. Many online resources and training activities are available to every scout leader. Albert Einstein said: "True genius is access to information." The genius behind successful programs lie in leaders who are lifelong learners and motivated to learn to latest program or activity available for his scouts. Survey your scouts and find audience centered activities that will increase their motivation and enthusiasm.

Boy Scout founder, Baden Powell was a great optimist. He recognized that the future can be bright. To insure a bright future for our young scouts, adult leaders need to be state of the art, great role models and move with innovation and flexibility in developing an exciting, strategic program for their scouts. Baden Powell concluded: "The most worthwhile thing is to put happiness into the lives of others." The opportunity to bring happiness into the lives of scouts has never been greater.

Why You Should Never Give up

Author: Farouk Radwan

Depression results from chemical imbalance in the brain. This fact is known to almost everybody but ask any person what causes this imbalance and you will find that he doesn't know the answer.
Depression happens when a person loses hope in getting something that he wanted to get badly. This means that your unmet goals can result In depression the day you decide that you won't pursue them anymore.
If you always wanted to become rich and if you were still trying then you are very less likely to get depressed. If on the other hand you decided one day that you will stop trying then you will certainly get depressed.
This will happen because you prevented yourself from fulfilling one of your important unmet needs (provided that getting rich is really important to you).

The acceptance trap

Acceptance is an amazing thing. Sometimes the only way to get over emotional pain is to except what happened to you. For example if you lost a close person then you will never going to heal unless you accept that the loss happened and that it can't be reversed.
Now many people get acceptance wrong and decide to settle for things that they didn't want just because they failed to get the things that they wanted to get!
If the man in the previous example, who wanted to get rich, decided to accept the fact that he is poor by deciding not to do anything about it then his subconscious mind will let him feel really bad because it will easily spot this kind of self deception he used.
There is a great difference between accepting things that can never be changed and declaring defeat by believing that you are stuck where you are.

If you want something badly then you must fight for it

Your subconscious mind knows best. If you want something badly then rest assured that unless you get that thing you won't experience real happiness.
If your beliefs changed in such a way that this important thing became less important to you then it's ok not to try to get it but if your belief system remained intact and if you only tried to deceive yourself by claiming that what you wanted was never that important then certainly you will end up depressed.
Happy people are the ones who fight for the things they believe in and the happiest ones on earth are the ones who achieve what they have been fighting for.
Settle for less than what you wanted in life and you are destined to feel dissatisfied with your life.

3 Simple Steps To Make A Decision, Get Unstuck & Get Going

Author: Mary Foley

Do you ever get so wrapped about the axel fretting over a decision that you become paralyzed and can't move forward? You become caged by your fears. You can't think straight. Your stomach is constantly in knots.

Talk about a New Year's resolution buzz kill.

At the top of my 10-year career as the head of AOL's corporate training, I desperately wanted a change. I had recently been accepted to grad school and I quickly determined that continuing to do 60-hour weeks along with studying for grad school while finalizing my divorce was just too much. I was beyond weary and maxed. I desperately wanted to ask my manager for what I really wanted - to go part-time - but I was stuck and scared.

My current responsibilities demanded full-time attention. And part-time positions didn't exist in AOL's crazy, hyper-speed, high-tech environment. In fact, part-time seemed like an oxymoron. Would my manager go for it? Could we even talk about it? Or would I be raising a huge red flag that I was no longer as committed to the organization, perhaps even being asked to leave the organization altogether? Could I mentally, emotionally and physically push on through and forget about the whole idea?

Then a way to get unstuck came to me. Maybe it was my engineering training talking or maybe it was a virtual "get a grip girlfriend" slap from my beleaguered spirit, I don't know. But, it worked. You can use it, too, for your own sticky, stucky moments:

1. Imagine the worst case.
Make yourself go to that bad place, emotionally and psychologically. Write it out and share with someone you trust the absolute worst thing that could happen. In detail. Paint the complete picture with all the events, people, and your feelings. From your cozy chair, experience as much as possible what the worst case would feel like.

For me, worst case was that my manager would say sayonara and ask me to pack up my belongings. After a successful 10-year career starting as an $8 an hour customer service rep and working my way up the corporate ladder, this felt awful. And who knows what kind of scar it would put on my resume, maybe even be a huge speed bump to my next career!

2. Ask yourself "What would I do if the worse case happened?"
What actions would you take? What would you say and to whom? How might they react? How would you respond to them?

If you can answer these kinds of questions, then you can handle it. It may not be fun, it may not be pretty, but you can handle it. Give yourself some credit. Chances are you dealt with an intense situation before. Remember?

Oh, I remembered. Figuring out how to safely leave an abusive husband ranked up there in my most intense situations. In a flash I realized that if my manager told me to pack my bags, it would hurt, but I could handle it. This was my career, but it wasn't my personal emotional and physical well-being. I had talent, experience and tenacity. Someone smarter than my boss would hire me.

3. Ask yourself "What's the likelihood of the worst case happening?"
Most of the time, we paint the most horrible picture, and then it doesn't materialize. It's a great monument to our imagination. Perhaps more of us should write movie screenplays. Something between "Terrific!" and "Ugh!" is most often reality. Hey, good news! You've already determined you can handle that, too. Piece of cake.

Thing is, my performance was strong and I was well liked by my boss and my boss' boss. Unless there was some mysterious undercurrent, chances were more that my manager would be bummed that I wanted to pull-back.

4. Make a decision and go for it!
By making any decision you are, by definition, unstuck. You are in motion one way or another. And even science reveals that when an object is in motion it has more energy and can change direction more easily.
Calming down and putting myself through the paces gave me a much more realistic view of the situation and the courage to talk with my boss. Turns out he was bummed, very bummed. So was my boss' boss. Which worked in my favor. They created a new part-time position for me because they valued my contribution enough to want some of me, even if they couldn't get all of me. It required me to step down from my leadership role and take a less demanding role as a training specialist, but my ego could handle it because in the bigger picture, I was getting exactly what I wanted - at least for now.

Self improvement Tips to Be a Better Person

Who wouldn’t want to become a better person? Who wouldn’t like to achieve inner peace and a positive mindset to help us deal with life’s challenges? You might be thinking, though, that self improvement is a pipe dream. But the truth is, it is quite achievable if you put your mind and heart into it. If you incorporate good habits, thoughts and deeds into your daily routine, attaining personal growth will be a cinch. Below are examples of the small but significant things you can do to unleash the winner in you.

1. Get fit and look your best. Self improvement should include both your inner and outer aspects. Life coaches who espouse personal growth just can’t stress enough the importance of looking and feeling the best you can be physically. The premise is that when you are at your physical best, you develop self confidence. You will be willing to meet new people and you can turn something as mundane as shopping for clothes into a nice experience. No longer will you have to ask for a larger size and endure the smirks of sales people! So get on an exercise program and start eating healthy. Don’t do anything drastic, though. If you haven’t worked out in a long time, you can start off by walking around your neighborhood three times a day, for a few minutes each day. Don’t be in a rush to get fit right way; otherwise, you might only do yourself harm.

2. Don’t feel guilty about treating yourself. Self improvement is also about taking care of your wants, not just your needs. You deserve a treat every now and then, and you don’t even need a special occasion to justify your purchase. You worked hard for your money and you earned it honestly; hence, you have the right to enjoy it. It will be good for your morale and personal growth to experience the fruits of your labor, such as a new purse, outfit, steak dinner or even a massage at a day spa. The occasional indulgence – as long as it’s not financially excessive – will inspire you to work harder so you can continue to treat yourself every now and then.

3. Be generous. Being generous doesn’t mean you have to give money or material things to other people. You can be generous with your time. Cap off your self improvement efforts by reaching out to those in need. Volunteer time at an orphanage or home for the elderly. Helping others will do so much wonders for your spirit and personal growth. It will give you a sense of fulfillment that no material acquisition can ever match. Do what you can to bring a smile to other people’s faces for a better you and a better world.

4. Don’t be a control freak. It’s normal to want to always be in control, but in some situations, we need to learn to let go of things we can’t change. It’s not healthy to dwell on circumstances beyond our control, so instead, focus on what you can do and move on. If Plan A doesn’t work, move to Plan B. We don’t always get what we want in life.

5. Laugh it off. Make self improvement fun by developing a great sense of humor. Personal growth should include plenty of laughter to make life more exciting. When you learn to not take things too seriously and see the humor in even the most awkward and embarrassing situations, your days will be lighter and it will be easier for you to build great memories. So the next time you commit a boo-boo, apologize and laugh it off. And when someone else commits the error, laugh with him, not at him.

Self improvement will always be a work in progress. Life is dynamic and will continue to present us with all sorts of challenges. So rise to the challenge, take life head on and enjoy the ride to personal growth. Don’t stop moving, don’t stop learning. Good luck and enjoy the journey.

How To Have Unsinkable Hope

When unsettling times occur, your emotions can get the best of you. Fear and doubt can creep in and the feeling of hope seems to be lost.

When faced with a problem have unsinkable hope.

Whether it's hope for yourself or another person, it may appear to be out of reach or just beyond your grasp, but rest assure, it's not.

Your thoughts can be pretty tricky and quite believable sometimes. They may even seem as if they grab hold of you and you find yourself plummeting to the darkest and doubtful places in yourself.

You can feel overcome with worry, second guessing, hopelessness, uncertainty, panic, and even catastrophic thinking.

In the murky waters of your emotions unsinkable hope may appear to be sunk.

It may not always be easy to change your doubts and fears, but it is possible.

You will probably have to have a pep talk with yourself from time to time. Be determined and committed to elevating and alleviating the negative and worrisome thoughts that want to hold on and keep you down to ones of being hopeful and positive.

One of the most difficult things to do, especially when you are in the midst of your emotions, is to take 100% responsibility for the position you are taking in regards to what is occurring.

You are in charge of remaining hopeful or hopeless. Feel the difference between the two. Which one emits promise?

It's not about disregarding what you are feeling but rather it's moving through it in a more positive way.

When you are fearful or uncertain, possibility thinking turns into problem thinking but with that being said, another thought can also bring about hope once again.

How can you be optimistic when you are in the throws and shadows of pessimistic thinking? Through awareness.

When you recognize that your thoughts are negative, destructive, hopeless, etc., you can say, "Stop. Enough is enough. This way of thinking is not helping me or anyone else".

After you acknowledge what's going on, then you are on your way out of the darkness into lighter and possibility thinking again.

There is no doubt that some days will certainly be easier than others, but remember there is another way, another thought, that can change what you are focusing on.

You may have to remind yourself, especially if you tend to be more of a doubter than a believer, that the thoughts you are replaying in your mind are being sent out into the Universe.

Old mindsets aren't easily persuaded, but with awareness they can be changed.

If you have the ability to doubt and lose faith, you also have the capability to believe and have unsinkable hope.

As hard as it might be sometimes, don't allow your emotions to diminish your hopes.

When you realize you are being doubtful or fearful, then you can make a choice to change your way of thinking.

When you are feeling afraid or not sure of what to do, you can ask for help.

You can call a friend or family member and tell them you are having a difficult time.

You can pray, meditate, re-write the way you are viewing things, go for a walk, or watch or read something inspiring.

Acknowledge the way you are feeling, then be willing to let it go. Don't allow it to sink your unsinkable hope for another minute! Thanks, but no thanks.

"Hope is the word which God has written on the brow of every man". Victor Hugo

You can use these techniques to assist you in moving through fear, doubt, worry, and uncertainty through unsinkable hope.

Letting Go of Everything That Is Not You

Many of us live with an internal struggle of wondering who we really are and trying to please others. To be truly happy you have to let go of everything that is not you.

Human beings are prone to feelings of uncertainty from time to time. Some of us experience these qualms only occasionally whilst for others it is an almost perpetual state. If you fall within the latter category then you will appreciate that this feeling is rather uncomfortable to say the least.

Nobody should have to live with this type of discomfort and there is no need to do so if you are willing to step back and examine what has made you how you are today. Your experience now is in fact the effect of the sum total of your beliefs and expectations. If your beliefs and expectations do not sit comfortably upon your shoulders then it is likely that they do not reflect who you really are.

In self-exploration, you might discover that your beliefs and expectations are struggling against your true nature and denying who you really are. Many of us harbor beliefs that are erroneous. Many of us have expectations that are based upon what we think others would like to see in us but are not reflective of our own true desires or beliefs.

So as to be true to yourself there comes a time when it is appropriate to let go of everything that is not you. Every human being is both molded and malleable to a great degree, but there comes a point where our own nature is no longer willing to be stretched or prodded into someone else's idea of conformity.

Many people are frightened though by the prospect of letting go of beliefs and expectations that they have harbored for so long. They are scared too of what other people might think of them. We are undeniably creatures who inherently crave approval. We fear loss of approval and loss of face, both of which are demonstrative of love. Love is the basic feeling that we most desire.

But unless we allow our true nature to shine through we will never have a true feeling of self-love. And unless we love ourselves, we will not be able to really believe that anyone else will love us either.

You can see the chicken and egg of this situation can't you? We cling to what approval we can get from others and are loath to let go of what we have for fear of losing out on that love, but in that very act of clinging on we deny our true nature and therefore deny ourselves of true love.

There is an additional fear. We worry about what our true nature really is. Who are you once those erroneous beliefs and false expectations are released? It is only by the act of stripping away those layers of beliefs and expectations that you will discover your true nature, your own uniqueness and individuality. In the act of releasing false thought processes you experience the freedom and joy of being true to yourself and comfortable in your own skin.

Hypnosis is an enabling and empowering state of mind for those who wish to embark upon and succeed in the voyage of self-discovery, self-love and self-realization. Hypnosis can truly open your mind to your true and inherent potential.

Self Help Guidelines That Can Improve Every Aspect You Will Ever Have!

Author: harrytan
Personal development involves setting goals in order to feel happier and healthier. By using your strengths, you can hone in on weaknesses and improve. Taking more time to do things you enjoy can reduce stress, as well. Read this article for some more tips on how to use personal development to your benefit.

Depression can cause people to retreat from their normal routines, activities, and social groups. Incidentally, when you are most tempted to sever your ties, that is exactly when you should muster all of your strength and continue to participate whether you feel up to it or not. Understand that isolating yourself will only create more pain and stress. You may approach friends or family and ask them to offer the motivation and support needed to remain tethered to your normal activities.

When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you should do is talk to God. We always try to handle everything ourselves, and we should make a point to involve God first thing. He is the priority and without him we can do nothing. Call on him first!

Acknowledge your flaws and mistakes. Don't shy away from them for the sake of positivity. Willful ignorance will weaken you more than any flaw or mistake ever could. Positive change can come from examining your shortcomings and turning them into areas where you can learn and grow. People respect and trust someone who can admit when they've done wrong.

The first step to personal development is to have the determination to improve. Without the motivation and drive, you are not going to get very far. Set goals on which aspects you want to improve on and do not give up, not matter how hard it may seem.

A great personal development tip is to always think before uttering a word. When you do this, you avoid saying anything that might slip out by accident. In addition, thinking before speaking allows you to develop your thoughts in a more articulate and cohesive way. Therefore, your contributions will likely be of higher quality.

Jesus told us to love our neighbors as ourselves. In order to do this, you must first love yourself. If you do not love yourself, then it is impossible for you to love anyone else. This does not mean you go overboard with loving yourself. This means you "truly" love yourself so that you can show that same true love to others.

Are you a positive or negative thinker? Listen to your inner voice for the answer. If you constantly focus on the negative, then you could be sabotaging the outcome of a goal you wish to reach. Listen to the positive voice that tells you you can do something, and ignore the negative voice that says you can't.

If you do not want to follow the herd, remember to ask questions. The fact is that many people accept the way the world is unquestionably, which can lead to a feeling of being unfulfilled. If you ask questions and take only the things of value that are offered to you, you'll be more likely to internalize only beneficial ideas.

Find the areas in your life that you lack confidence the most. If you take the time to plan what areas you are lacking confidence in, you will find that it is easier to gain the confidence in those areas, rather than trying to gain overall confidence in all things in your life.

Schedule time for your personal development to make sure it does not get lost in the chaos of daily activities. Developing yourself takes effort and commitment and deliberately scheduling time for development activities gives them the importance they deserve. Whether you schedule short blocks or longer ones, the key is to make your personal development a documented priority.

Carry yourself with pride. Personal development may be an intimate process, but you will find yourself walking with more confidence if you present a cohesive image to the world around you. Trying on new ways to project your true self allows you to toy with self-expression and builds your self confidence in the process.

Get a pet. Pets can provide an outlet for your love, but more than that, they can teach you how to be a better person. Observe their willingness to be silly and to play. Watch how simply they stay focused on their goals even if met with resistance. A pet can be an excellent teacher of staying true to oneself.

In order to improve yourself, you first have to accept humility. If you are arrogant and think that you know everything already, you will never learn and develop into a better person. Once you realize that what you know is actually very little in the scope of this world, you are ready to grow in knowledge and wisdom.

Taking the time to learn about developing yourself is, in itself, a step forward in personal growth. Many people shirk help and advice in an effort to do it themselves, come what may. Use all the advice you can get and utilize it to make yourself grow as a person. You will thank yourself in the end.

Lack Is A Dangerous Thing

Author: Shamala Tan
Today's sharing has more of a spiritual slant. I like to share about the types of lessons we learn in life, specifically the two types I have in mind.

Often times we get confused, we think certain lessons or challenges that we encounter are of the evolutionary kindwhen in fact they may just be lessons in which we have created because we are just not willing to learn, hence we experience them over and over again creating a karmic cycle.

The two types of lessons are: the evolutionary kind and then there are the types of lessons that are more emotionally dramatic in nature.

The first type of lesson come about when we have reached a certain point of growth and development in our lives -- this could be on the spiritual, mental, emotional, or physical level. These lessons push us out of our comfort zone and enable us to move forward to help us to evolve. These lessons and challenges are self empowering that allows us to be better than what we are used to. And definitely enabling us to reach our highest potential.

And then there is the other type of lesson. This other type of lessons are basically self-created in a disempowering way. Often times they are emotionally dramatic and they are not of the evolutionary nature. They are more like 'paying off a debt' kind of lessons, if you know what I mean. They are not sins, mind you, but more like the repetition of same lessons over and over again. Why is the person repeating the same lessons? Several reasons -- laziness, can't be bothered, enjoying being a victim, inertia, fear of responsibilities, energy and emotional leeching, arrogance, stubbornness and so on.

Sometimes these lessons may seem like they are the evolutionary kind especially if the person is on a spiritual path but the problem is this person is not evolving on the mental or emotional level. And even their world view of their physical reality is stagnated. They are always attracting the same kinds of emotional and mental lessons in the area of money, relationships or job/career/purpose.

And these issues are base level types of lessons, an example of this is the challenge of having only $10 in the pocket to survive till the end of the month repeating itself consistently 20 years later. When there is no development in this area, we can be sure there is no progress on the spiritual level either! It can be easy to assume that one is growing when one is challenged in life.

I have learned that it could well be there is no growth and that is why one is challenged! I find that the best way to understand and know which sort of lessons you are experiencing is to simply ask yourself if these lessons in which you recently encountered involve the same issues you experienced not too long ago? Or maybe they involve the same people as well? Are they emotionally draining and you are looking for quick fixes or worse still you simply choose to ignore the issue and hoping it will be swept under the carpet?

If the lessons are new and perhaps the last time you experienced them felt like a lifetime ago, then you are probably experiencing a more evolutionary type of lessons. But the tricky thing is often times when lessons that manifests that are of the evolutionary nature can make us feel so out of our comfort zone we may just retreat thinking they are warning signs from the Universe not to go there.

Whatever nature the lessons may be, your passport out of either the 'pay your debt' types of lessons or the evolutionary lessons is to have the courage leap frog out of there!

If you are unable to change that thing and you are not happy with it, then change your thinking about it. If you don't like nature of a person then try to change the nature by telling him some good habits/points but if you are unable to change then make your mind that this person is having this kind of a nature only, so talk him keeping his nature in mind.

If we think positive that teacher give their best to prepare us for the exams, exams gives the opportunity to test our abilities and good study is must to make life successful, then we get good marks in exams and makes our career in good field.

Internet marketing is a unique success that just keeps getting better and growing. Your business can use internet marketing to grow as well. You can increase traffic and interest in your business with the world wide web. This article can help you understand the possibilities and find one that can work for you.
Network marketing can be a lot of work for very little payout unless you match up the benefits of what you offer to the specific customers who need that benefit. All the advertising in the world will not produce results unless you are targeting the right audience. Think about which customers will benefit from your product or services. Then work to provide that specifically for those customers.
Concentrate on your body language when you're meeting a lead. Keep your body relaxed & open, smile, and give off the vibe of trustworthiness. If you believe in the program you are trying to sell to the lead, your body will show it and you'll be totally relaxed. Don't be nervous, the worst that can happen is that they say no!
Don't leave it up to your website to make you money! You can't just take the "if I build it, they will come" attitude or you will FAIL in network marketing. You have to beat the pavement locally, to build your downline, be it by sharing marketing materials or actually talking to people you meet.
A great tip for successful network marketing is to join online forums and participate. These network marketing forums are great places to get tips on network marketing for free. Do an internet search and find a forum that you enjoy and spend a little time there each day picking up tips from others in the business.
Network Marketing
Don't ever stop learning about network marketing. Given the volatile nature of the internet and social marketing tools, new techniques appear almost daily to help you network. Learning about and reading up on network marketing will keep you informed of the trends and make you better prepared to successfully use these trends.
Be patient with your business. Network marketing can take quite a little bit of time to build up to a successful business model. It is not something that can be easily rushed regardless of the tactics you use, and to perform it successfully, it needs to grow and change as you do.
Home Based Business
Network marketing offers some of the best opportunities for success in your own home-based business, mainly because the start-up costs associated with it are smaller compared to most other conventional businesses. Once you have decided on companies and products, position yourself to leverage your own business.
Make the most of your drop cards by learning the most effective ways to use them. After you fill up your tank with gas, place one in the credit card slot of the pump. Put your junk mail to use by removing the envelopes that don't require postage and using them to mail cards to prospects. Place a card or two in the free magazine racks at grocery and convenience stores. Visit local bookstores and place a card in the location of home-based business books, self-help books and any other relevant areas. Leave them at any restaurants or hotels that you visit. You never know whose hands are going to sizzle when they pick up your card and see opportunity written all over it.
As has been noted, the internet is a unique success story in the advertising world. It continues to grow and shows unlimited potential to businesses and people around the world. By bringing businesses and customers together, it has changed how business is done. By adopting the pointers in this article you can become part of that success.

Permanent Happiness is Too Close to Reach

Author: Mark Dwayen

Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke. One of the better things ever said is - 'The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change', and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change. Here I am not speaking about the happiness obtained from expensive shopping or bringing home cost effective Verizon FiOS Bundles, this article will speak about obtaining the permanent happiness.

Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, accept people for whom or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along with it well. Happiness is actually found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also healthier.

To be happy is relatively easy by just deciding to be a happy person. Being grateful is a great attitude. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful dinner and thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mails, thank the policeman for making your place safe and thank God for being alive.

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do. A religious connection is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time. Time is invaluable and too important to waste. Time management can be viewed as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, creating lists of things to do and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire. Laugh and laugh heartily every day. Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say -'Laughter is the best medicine but never laugh at other's sorrow'.

Express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone. Working hard brings tremendous personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in finishing our tasks. Accomplishments are necessary for all of us; they give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new every day. Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons. It could also give us more opportunities in the future. Run, jog, walk and do other things that your body was made for. Feel alive. Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places. These are the few simple things you can do everyday to be happy.
